Join us for lunch at Seasons 52 on September 6th, for our First Wednesday Lunch with the League. The Honorable Mayor Donna Deegan will be our featured speaker. She will share her plans for Jacksonville and answer questions about her administration.
Mayor Deegan is a proud fifth-generation Jacksonville native, award-winning local television news anchor, philanthropist, author and marathoner. As a lead anchor at First Coast News, she told the stories of people from all walks of life, investigated many of the city’s systemic problems and held people in power accountable. Over her 25 years reporting, she established herself as a trusted voice for the community.
She also founded The DONNA Foundation, a nonprofit that provides financial assistance and support to families living with breast cancer and funds groundbreaking breast cancer research. The three-time breast cancer survivor also created 26.2 with DONNA, The National Marathon to Finish Breast Cancer, an event that brings millions in economic impact to Jacksonville.
She has received the Jacksonville Business Journal Women of Influence Award, Enterprising Women’s Leadership Award, Florence Davis Lifetime Achievement Award, and Florida Times-Union’s EVE Award for volunteer service.
We are happy to return to Seasons 52, 5096 Big Island Drive, Jacksonville, for our first in person luncheon of the 23-24 season. Doors open at 11:30 and lunch will begin at 11:45, followed by the program.
The menu includes a small Field Greens Salad, choice of entree (Chicken Caprese Sandwich, Avocado Toast, or Crab Cake Sandwich), a Mini Indulgence Dessert and beverage (Coffee, Iced Tea, or Soft Drink), at a cost per person of $35.00 for members and their guests. Non-members who purchase tickets pay an additional $2 Technology Convenience fee, for a total of $37.00.
Registration will close on September 3, and
tickets will not be available at the door. You will be asked to prepay with a credit card and select a sandwich choice when registering. Seating is limited so please register by August 21. This is an in person only event, it will not be available on Zoom.
