Local Program

The League of Women Voters Jacksonville First Coast program identifies the issues that we chose for concerted study, education and action at local and state levels.

Legislative Priorities

The League is a grassroots organization and as such, we focus on the issues that our members care the most about. Each year, our membership is polled to see which issues are most important to them. Every local league submits priorities. After tabulating each local league’s submissions, the top five areas become priorities for the Legislative Session.

Volunteer Opportunities

Quite often, our League needs volunteers to help with small tasks that are not time consuming but vital to our leadership and membership. Would you be willing to conduct research on historic and cultural dates and events for our newsletter, make phone calls to members about upcoming events, or attend online city council meetings or committee hearings?
